Clinical Observation on Complex Renal Lithiasis with Therapy of Combination of TCM with Western Medicine,A Report of 45 Cases

Objective:To investigate the curative effect of decoction of dispersing firm to remove urinary calculus combined with western medicine on complex renal lithiasis.Method:75 cases were divided into treatment group and control group randomly.The treatment group included 45 cases,and the control group included 30 cases.Routine western medicine and decoction of dispersing firm to remove urinary calculus was given to the treatment group,and Routine western medicine was given to the control group.Result:In the treatment group,38 cases were cured,2 cases were excellent,3 cases were effective,and 2 cases were ineffective.The total effective rate was 95.56%(95%CI=84.6%-99.4%).In the control group,15 cases were cured,3 cases were excellent,5 cases were effective,and 7 cases were ineffective.The total effective rate was 76.67%(95%CI=57.7%-99.1%).The difference between the two groups was remarkable(u=2.641 0,P=0.009 2).BUN,Scr,β2-MG in urine,and β2-MG in blood were all decreased,but the treatment group did better than the control group did(P0.001).Conclusion:The curative effect of decoction of dispersing firm to remove urinary calculus combined with western medicine is better than that of only western medicine on complex renal lithiasis.OR=0.15(95%CI=0.03-0.80),NNT=5(95%CI=2.95-25.77).
