The changes of red blood cell parameters and its clinical significance in patients with hepatic cirrhosis

Objective To observe the changes of red blood cell parameters in patients with hepatic cirrhosis and study its clinical significance.Methods Red blood cell count(RBC),hemoglobin(Hb),hematocrit(HCT),mean cell volume(MCV),red cell distribution width(RDW) of 45 patients with hepatic cirrhosis(the study group) and 42 healthy people(the control group) were examined and analyzed by test.Results Compared with the control group,RBC,Hb and HCT of the study group descended evidently(P0.05),and MCV,RDW increased significantly.With the increases of the Child-Pugh integrate,the abnormality of the red blood parameters aggravated gradually(P0.05,P0.01).Conclusion There is abnormality of red blood cell parameters in patients with hepatic cirrhosis,some red blood cell parameters may reflect the pathogenetic condition and damage degree of liver disease.
