Clinical Significance of Determination of Red Blood Cell and Platelet Parameters in Patients with Chronic Hepatitis

Abstract

Objective To investigate the changes and clinical significance of red blood cell parameters and blood platelet parameters in patients with chronic hepatitis.Methods The red blood cell parameters(Counts-RBC,distribution width-RDW,average volume-MCV) and platelet parameters(Counts-PLT,distribution width-PDW,average volume-MPV) of 208 patients with chronic hepatitis and 40 health people were examined and analyzed by T test.Results The parameters in the severity chronic hepatitis and liver cirrhosis groups were different from the control group in RBC,RDW(P 0.05),PLT(P 0.01);RBC,RDW,MCV,PLT,MPV(P 0.01).Conclusion RBC parameters and PLT parameters can reflect the degree of chronic liver disease and the severity of liver damage.
