Abstract
Objective To investigate the change and the clinical significance of red blood cell parameters in patients with liver diseaes. Methods The red blood cell parameters of 105 hepatopathes and 35 healthy objects in control group were examined and compared. Results Compared with control group, red blood cell count(RBC),hemoglobin(Hb) and haematocrit(HCT) descended in chronic hepatitis gravis, hepatic cirrhosis and hepatoma group(P0.05~0.01),and there was no significant difference in RBC,Hb and HCT in chronic hepatitis group and acute hepatitis group(P0.05).Compared with control group, mean corpuscular volume(MCV) increased in all patients with liver deseases(P0.05).Except for mean corpuscular hemoglobin(MCH) in chronic hepatitis gravis, there was no obviously different in MCH and mean corpuscular-hemoglobin concentration(MCHC) between liver desease group and the control group(P0.05).Among all liver deseases, only RDW in chronic hepatitis group was hardly changed(P0.05),there was obviously higher on RDW in other liver disease group(P0.05~0.01),and as the pathogenetic condition was serious,RDW widened gradually. Conclusion Some of red blood cell parameters such as RBC,Hb,HCT,RDW and MCV may reflect the pathogenetic condition and damage degree of liver disease.
