Clinical significance and changes of red blood cell parameters and platelet parameters in patients with hepatic cirrhosis

Objective To observe the changes of red blood cell parameters and platelet parameters in patients with hepatic cirrhosis.Methods The red blood cell parameters:red blood cell count(RBC),hemoglobin(HB),hematocrit(HCT),mean cell volume(MCV),red cell distribution width(RDW),and platelet parameters:platelet(PLT),packed cell volume(PCT),mean platelet volume(MPV),and platelet distribution width(PDW) of 35 cases of hepatic cirrhosis(the study group) and 35 healthy people(the control group) were examined and analyzed by t test.Results Compared with the control group,RBC,HB,HCT,PLT,and PCT of the study group descended evidently(P0.05),and MCV,RDW,MPV,PDW increased significantly.With the increases of the Child-Pugh integrate,the anmormality of the red blood parameters aggravated gradually(P0.05,P0.01).Conclusion There is abnormality of red blood cell parameters and platelet parameters in patients with hepatic cirrhosis,some red blood cell parameters and some platelet parameters may reflect the pathogenetic condition and damage degree of liver disease.
