The study of abstergent autologous blood transfusion in cardiac surgery

Objective: To investigate the value of autologous blood transfusion in major cardiac operations.Methods: Autologous blood transfusion in operation of 50 patients using Z-2000A autologous blood recovery system.Retrospective analysis was made of the data of Hemoglobin(HB),hematocrit(HCT),platelet(PC),platelet activated partal thromboplastin time(APTT) of preoperative and postoperative.Results: The total bleeding quantity of the 50 patients was 66352 ml,and the total autologous blood transfusion volume was 42750 ml.No autologous blood transfusion complications occurred in all cases.Conclusion: Autologous blood transfusion can effectively reduce blood loss in cardiac major surgery and reduction of homologous blood transfusion.The method has great clinical significance,especially in the backward economy and AIDS epidemic areas.
