Abstract
OBJECTIVE To choose the most suitable concentration of Azone as a percuta-neous enhancer of compound Asiaticoside Gel preparations.METHODS Isolated rat skin was tak-en as the permeable barrier by using a modified Franz absorbing 2 cell device. The c-ontent of paeoniflorin in the modified Franz absorbing2cell device was dertermined by HPLC,and the cumulation of paeoniflorin permeated through the rat skin was cal-culated.RESULTS After adding the penetration enhancer, the penetrating rate of Asia-ticoside Gel preparations increased remarkably.Menthol(1.0%)menthol(2.0%)menthol(0.5%);Azone(1.0%)Azone(4.0%)Azone(2.0%)。When used in combination, the results is not as good as before.CONCLUSIONS Menthol(1.0%)is the best Enhancer for this Asiaticoside Gel preparations.
