Abstract
Objective:An HPLC method for the quantitative determination of chlorogenic acid in Coriandurm seed was investigated.Method:The sample was extracted with 50% methanol solution and then analyzed by HPLC.The operating conditions were Hypersil-ODS column(6.0 mm×125 mm ,5 μm)at room temperature, mobile phase of methanol-0.4% acetic acid(25:75)at 1.0 mL·min~(-1) and UV detection at 328 nm.Results:There was a good linear relationship between the area of chlorogenic acid and the mass of sample in the range of 0.015-0.106 μg for chlorogenic acid. The corresponding regression equation was Y=9903.85X+12.72,r=0.9996.The average re- covery was 98.3% (n=3).Conclusion:This method is simple, specific and accurate.
