Evolution on Community Health Service Demand and Utilization in Three Cities of Zhejiang Province

OBJECTIVE To analyze the health service demand and utilization among three ciies in Zhejiang Province and provide the scientific suggestions for improving the quality of community health service.METHODS 896 residents in three regions of Zhejing province were randomly selected with typical sampling by means of questionnaire.RESULTS The proportion of population upper 65 ages were 10.4%,and the 18.3%two!week prevalence presons selected community health service organizations for seeing doctors.The rate of awareness of community health service among residents in the investigated regions is 76.2%.The utilization rate by local residents is only 34.6%in those investigated regional community health service,and 41.3%persons utilized the community health service with medical care service and purchasing drugs.Lack of belief to doctors was the first reason in those people not utilizing community health service organizations,as well as the percentage of knowing the health record for oneself was only 10.5%.CONCLUSION(1)To en-hance the ability of community health care organizations was the key point.(2)To extending prevention and health care service and function was the focal point of community health service work.
