Abstract
Objective To study the clinical value of ulinastatin on treating multiple injuries. Methods Sixty-four patients with severe multiple injuries were randomly divided into treatment group (n=32) and control group (n=32). In the treatment group (n=32) ,on the base of routine treatment, ulinastatin was administered intravenously from hospitalization, while in the control group only routine treatment was given (n=32). Results There was significant difference in the time in ICU,hospitalization time, incidence of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome(MODS) between the two groups (P0.05). Conclusion Ulinastatin can suppress the inflammatory response in patients with severe multiple injuries, protect the important organ function, reduce the incidence of MODS.
