Abstract
Objective:To explore the detection of four platelet parameters in children with severe pneumonia and the significances. Methods:Sysmex SF 23000 analyzer was used to detect the plasma levels of platelet count(PLT),mean platelet volume(MPV),platelet distribution width(PDW) and platelet hematocrit(PCT) in 65 children with severe pneumonia and 60 normal healthy children. Results:The plasma levels of PLT,MPV,PDW and PCT in severe pneumonia group were significantly higher than those in control group(P0.05).The plasma levels of PLT,MPV,PDW and PCT at recovery phase were significantly lower than those at acute phase(P0.05).Conclusion:The levels of PLT,MPV,PDW and PCT increase significantly in children with severe pneumonia, and the levels at acute phase are significantly higher than those at recovery phase, the changes of platelet parameters should be paid more attention to closely in clinic.
