Prescription analysis in our hospital outpatient in April 2011

Objective To understand the irrational drug use prescriptions of outpatient in our hospital,improve the level of the rational use of drugs.Methods All prescription of our hospital outpatient in April 2011 were monitored by prescription automatic screening system(PASS) and irrational drug use was statistical analyzed.Results One thousand and ninety-two irrational prescriptions accounted for 1.42% of all the prescriptions,which were mainly reflected in overdosage,drug interaction,incompatibility of drugs and children's warning.In irreasonable drug varieties,chemical medicine accounted for 82.29%,Chinese traditional medicine accounted for 17.71%,and anti-infection drugs of chemical medicine accounted for 18.56%.Conclusion There is a certain amount of irrational prescriptions in our hospital,we still should continue to improve the level of the rational use of drugs.
