Abstract
Objective To discuss the value of the microsurgery techniques on the squint strabismus treatment through retrospectively studying the curative effects difference between the cases treated with the microsurgery techniques and treated with traditional surgery. Methods It was collected that the clinical data from 92 patients with concomitant strabismus treated with microsurgery techniques and 103 patients with concomitant strabismus treated with traditional surgery in zhuzhou city central hospital. In according to the therapeutic effect evaluation standard of strabismus the Chinese medical association branch of strabismus and ophthalmology pediatric ophthalmology group in the 1996,the curative effect and complication of the patients were documented, compared and analyzed between these two groups. Results Eighty-four cases of patients were fully cured by the microsurgery, taking up the 92.3%,and incomplete functional cure patient 5(5.49%),and two of patients were fully cured by the clinical approaches,in 92 cases of patients treated with microsurgery techniques. There were 5 cases of overcorrection(15,5.44%) patients and 2 cases of undercorrection(15,2.17%) patients in microsurgery techniques group.Compared with traditional surgery group, the rat of bleeding complications,eye-gastrointestinal reaction and corneal epithelium damage stripped is lower. The following up 6 to 12 months standard postoperative investigation, incidence rate conjunctival granuloma in microsurgery group is lower than traditional group. The others showed no difference between traditional group and microsurgery group. Conclusion The microsurgery treatment to the concomitant esotropia and walleye is a promoting techniques with the characteristics of higher curative effect, little injury, fewer complications in surgery and postoperative.
