Abstract
Objective To evaluate the value of two-dimensional ultrasound(2-DUS) and color Doppler flow imaging(CDFI) in the diagnosis of neck arteriosclerosis. Methods A total of 68 cases of hypertension, diabetes, coronary heart disease and cerebral stroke were examined with 2-DUS and CDFI.The inner diameter, endothelium blood stream course and hemodynamics of neck artery were observed. Results According to the characteristics on ultrasonography of 49 cases such as endothelium, arteriosclerosis, plaques and hemodynamics, the neck arteriosclerosis and stenosis could be demonstrated. Conclusion Ultrasonography has important clinical value in the diagnosis of neck arteriosclerosis.
