Value of color Doppler flow imaging in diagnosis of renal artery stenosis

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the value of color Doppler flow imaging in diagnosis of renal artery stenosis.Methods 35 patients and 70 renal artery suspected renovascular hypertension were examined by color Doppler and confirmed by digital subtraction angiography(DSA).Results The success rate was 94%.The accuracy was 87%,the sensibility was 91% and the specificity was 90%.Conclusion Color Doppler flow imaging is an effective inspecting method to evaluate RAS with less than 50% stenosis,provide important information for clinic diagnosis.
