Abstract

purpose To determine the ultrasonic features and range of normal value of healthy cervical artery and to study morphologic changes of abnormal cervical artery and its blood flow quantitative analysis. Methods 684 cervical blood vessels of 114 persons underwent two dimensional color Doppler detection thus giving relevant parameters. Results The incidence of insufficient blood supply in the vertebral artery was highest (43.8 %),and next came the formation of calcified plaques in the thickening inner wall of the common carotid artery (28.1 %).
