Abstract

The present paper deals with descriptions of two new species of the genus Spi-lopteron Townes, collected from Longsheng (.Guangxi), China in 1963, All type specimens are preserved in the Institute of Zoology, Aeademia Sinica.1, Spilopteron hongmaoensis sp. nov. Male : Fore wing 14 mm long. This new species differs from Spilopteron luteum ITchida by the following characters: Pace with comparatively coarse punctures, puneto-striatus not distinct; pre-pectal carina extending to under medial notch of hind rim of pronotum apical half of flagellum of antennae bamboo-like; second lateral area of propodeum clearly defined; areola-petiolar area without strong transverse wrinkles; nervellus broken slightly under the middle; abdominal tergite 1 about 2,5 as long as apical width; tergite 2 somewhat longer than wide.Holotype ((?)), Longsheng (Guangxi) 10. Ⅵ. 1963.2. Spilopieron baiyanensis sp. nov.Male : Fore wing 9 mm long. This new species is similar to Spilopteron hongmaoensis Wang, but differs from it by: apex of flagellum of antennae, tibia and tarsus of hind leg, middle lobe and lateral lobes of mesoscutum. first pleural area of propodeum brown or dark brown; mesopleu-rum and inetapleurum with rather shallow and scattered punctures; second lateral area of propodeum not clearly defined; prepectal carina extending to subtegular ridge but interrupted at middle; abdominal tergite 1 about 2.3 as long as apical width, tergite 2 broader than its length.Holotype ((?)), Longsheng (Guangxi), 20. Ⅵ. 1963.
