On Practical Theory of Teaching towards the World of Life:the New Direction of Teaching Theory

Teaching theory in China is rationalistic. It is immersed in the abstract world of conception. It pursues universality and definitude, but is not concerned about the nowadays life of teaching, then it has got bogged down in crisis. So does the teaching theory of positivism. Because it excessively pursues to make scientific and ignores the humanistic character of teaching theory. The author proposes that teaching theory should become a practical theory which concentrates on human life and the world of teaching life, and be produced by talking between the theoreticians and practitioners. This kind of theory should stimulate the practitioners' wisdom and critical thinking, and it should be the theory on worth but not technology.
