Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical effect of montalukast in adjuvant treatment of cough variant asthma. Methods 110 cases children with pediatric cough variant asthma were randomly divided into observation group and control group, each of 55 cases. Both of 2 groups were given conventional treatment and nursing,on that basis, control group was given procaterol and ketotifen, observation group were given montelukast based on treatment of control group, both groups were treated for 3 months.Compared the clinical effect, symptoms disappear time and adverse reaction of 2 groups. Results The efficiency rate and total effective rate of observation group were higher than those of control group, the symptoms disappear time was shorter than that of control group, the difference were statistically significant (P0.05).Conclusion The effect of montelukast in adjuvant treatment of pediatric cough variant asthma is remarkable, safety and reliability, and worthy of clinical application.
