Application of spiral-CT dual-phase scan in the diagnosis of pancreatic carcinoma

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the value of spiral-CT dual-phase scan in the diagnosis of pancreatic carcinoma.Methods The findings of the spiral-CT dual-phase scan in 50 cases of pancreatic carcinoma confirmed by clinic and pathology were retrospectively analysed.Results After spiral-CT dual-phase scan,the location,size,shape,density,and the relation with surrounding vessels and organs were clearly displayed in all the cases.Conclusion Spiral-CT dual-phase scan can not only contribute to early diagnosis of pancreatic carcinoma,but rather considerably raise the accuracy of estimating surrounding vessels infringement by pancreatic carcinoma.
