Spiral CT dual-phase contrast scanning in the diagnosis of pancreatic carcinoma

Objective To evaluate the value of enhanced spiral computed tomography(SCT)in the diagnosis of pancreatic carcinoma.Method SCT findings of 50 case of pancreatic carcinoma proved surgically and pathologically were analyzed retrospectively in Dual-phase SCT scanning.Results 50 patients with pancreatic carcinoma underwent pancreatic phase and portal phase scan at 40 seconds,60 seconds after injection respectively.The SCT could not only characterize the CT features of pancreatic cancer with no enhancement of pancreas tumor mass on pancreatic phase,which was significantly different from normal pancreas,but also reflect the signs of distinct morphological peculiarities of pancreatic cancer and the surrounding structures better.Conclusion Dual-phase SCT scanning is an excellent methods in increasing the veracity of surrounding artery invasion and value of early diagnosis,it can accurately evaluate the resectability of the pancreatic carcinoma.
