Abstract

Objective: To investigate the relationship between male infertility and chromosome abnormalities. Methods: The chromosome karyotypes of 513 male infertility patients were analyzed by cytogenetic method. Results: There were 62 cases of abnormal karyotype which is 12.09% in all examiners. They included 56 cases of sex abnormal karyotype which was 90.32% in abnormal karyotype. There were 6 cases of autosome abnormalities which was 9.68% in chromosome abnormalities. Conclusions: The abnormality of chromosome should be one of the basic reasons of male infertility, chromosome examination to male infertility can provide aids on the diagnosis and treatment
