Abstract

Objective:To study the relationship between male infertility and cytogenetics.Methods:311 cases of male infertility were collected and chromsome preparations made from peripheral blood lymphocytes by conventional G banding techniques. Results:There were 74 cases of abnormal karyotype which is 23.79% in all examiners. They included 57 cases of sex abnormal karyotype which was 18.33% in all examiners and 77.03% in abnormal karyotype. There were 17 cases of autosome abnormalities which was 5.47% in all examiners and 22.97% in chromosome abnormalities. Conclusion:The abnormality of chromosome should be one of the basic reasons of male infertility, chromosome examination to male infertility can provide aids on the diagnosis and treatment of infertility couples.
