Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical value of serum cystatin C(CysC) combined with β2-microglobulin(β2-MG) in the diagnosis of early diabetic nephropathy for the elderly. Methods:Elderly diabetic Patients depended on 24-hour urinary albumin excretion rate(UAER) were divided into two groups:DM group(DM) and early diabetic nephropathy group(DN),in two groups the serum CysC β2-MG,creatinine(Cr) level and positive rate were measured, and the result were compared with that in normal elderly subjects(control group). Results:In DN group and DM group the serum CysC,β2-MG levels were significantly higher than that in the control group(P0.01),in DN group were higher than in the DM group(P0.05).The blood Cr level in three groups were no significant difference(P0.05),the positive detection rate of CysC,β2-MG,and the combination of which in the DN group were more than DM group and the control group(P0.05);in DN group the positive rate of serum CysC andβ2-the MG was significantly higher than that of serum Cr(P0.05). Conclusion:Detection of serum CysC Combined withβ2-MG have an important clinical reference value to improve the diagnosis of early elderly diabetic nephropathy, can be used as a screening indicators of old age early diabetic nephropathy.
