Abstract
Objective:To discuss the clinical value of serum cystatin C(CysC) and β2microglobulin(β 2-MG) in type 2 diabetic patients with early nephropathy. Methods: Retrospective analysis of diabetic patients was carried out according to the Chinese diabetes prevention and control guide. The patients were divided into two groups: group 1 for diabetes without nephropathy group(DM group),including 55 patients, male 25 cases, female 30 cases, while group 2 for the early diabetic nephropathy group(group DN)(UAER200 μg/min),including 68 patients, male 32 cases, female 36 cases. At the same time,a healthy control group was established consisting of 68 patients, male 40 cases, female 28 cases. The three groups were detected for serum CysC,serum creatinine(Scr),blood urea nitrogen(Bun) and β 2-MG.Results: The serum CysC and β 2-MG levels in DM group and DN group were significantly higher than those of healthy controls(P0.05),and CysC and β 2-MG levels in DN group were higher than those in DM group(P0.05);The differences of serum levels of Scr and Bun in the three groups were not statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion: The serum CysC and β 2-MG in early diabetic nephropathy were rising significantly, they can be used as predictors of early diabetic nephropathy.
