Expression of c-erbB-2,nm23-H1 proteins and PCNA in pancreatic adenocarcinoma and its clinical significance

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the expression of c-erbB-2 , nm23-H1, PCNA and the clinicobiological behavior in human pancreatic adenocarcinoma.Methods:The expression of c-erbB-2,nm23-H1 and PCNA in 39 cases of human pancreatic adenocarcinoma were investigated with immunohistochemistry of avidin-biotin complex. Results:In the 39 cases with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, the positive rate of c-erbB-2 and nm23-H1 proteins was 46.15%, 66.67%, respectively. The PCNA LI was 27.54±16.42. The positive rate of c-erbB-2 and nm23-H1 were related to the histological grades (P0.05),but not to clinical stages (P0.05).PCNA labeling index were significantly different in histological grades and clinical stages(P0.01). The expression of c-erbB-2,nm23 and PCNA were positively correlated with lymph node metastasis.Conclusion:The expression of c-erbB-2, nm23-H1 and PCNA are important markers reflecting the biological behaviors and prognosis of pancreatic carcinoma.
