Abstract
Objective To establish the normal values of cephalometry of childern with normal occlusion in Changchun city and to study the development characteristics of cranium, jaw and face. Methods The cephalometric radiographs of 104 teenagers with normal occlusion were analyzed and the normal values were calculated. The difference of maxillofacial region on both genders was analyzed. Results The normal values measured with Steiner, Wylie, and Wits analysis methods were established. Although the cranium, jaw and face demonstrated similar development characteristics in both genders, there still exists some differences. The size is remarkably different between both genders. Conclusion To understand the development characteristics of craniurm, jaw and face in populations with normal occlusion is contributed to clinical diagnosis and treatment planning.
