Abstract
Objective To establish the normal values of cephalometry of soft-tissue profile in Changchun children with normal occlusion and to study the development characteristic of soft-tissue profile. Methods The cephalometric radiographs of 104 teenagers with normal occlusion were analyzed and the normal values were calculated. The difference of soft-tissue profile on different genders was analyzed. Results The normal values measured with Holdaway, Burstone and Bihara cephalometric analysis methods and normal values of other measurement items were established. Conclusion Although both genders have similar development characteristic of soft-tissue profile, there still exist some differences. To understand the development characteristic of soft-tissue profile in population with normal occlusion is contributed to clinical diagnosis and treatment planning.
