Abstract

Objective: To observe the effect and security of racecadotril in infants with rotavirus enteritis.Method: 120 infants with rotavirus enteritis were randomly assigned to treatment group(68 cases) and control group(52 cases).except adding racecadotril to treated group for five days two group received the same treatment. The frequency and shape of excrement;variety of symptom and side effect were observed after treatment.Result: The sharp effective rat after treatment was 73.53% and 48.08% in treatment group and control group, respectively; The totel effective rat after treatment was 91.18% and 71.15% in treatment group and control group, respectively. There was significantly difference between the two groups(P0.01).The time of antidiarrheal and the course of disease was significantly difference between the two groups(P0.01).After three days treatment, one patient had rash, another had nausea and vomit. Conclusion: Racecadotril treating infants with rotavirus enteritis was beneficial to alleviating diarrhea and shortening the course of disease and was reliable and safe.
