Curative effect observation of montmorillonite powder and racecadotril in treatment of infant rotavirus enteritis

Objective To analyze the curative effect and adverse reactions of montmorillonite powder and racecadotril in treatment of infant rotavirus enteritis.Methods 102 cases of infant rotavirus virus enteritis were treated in our hospital from November 2010 to February 2013,and were randomly divided into group A(51 cases) and group B(51 cases). On the basis of conventional treatment,racecadotril was given to group A,montmorillonite powder was given to group B, therapeutic effect between two groups was comparatively analysed.Results The total effective rate was 96.08% in group A,was 88.24% in group B,with no significant difference(χ2=2.1702,P0.05).The significant efficiency rate was 72.55% in group A,significantly higher than 41.18% in group B,with significant difference(χ2=10.2320,P0.01).The time of relieving diarrhea,fever and stopping vomiting,correcting dehydration and length of hospital staying in group A was significantly shorter than that in group B,the difference was significant(P0.01).The two groups had no serious adverse reactions,and the rate of adverse reactions had no significant difference(χ2=0.3434,P0.05).Conclusion On the basis of conventional treatment,auxiliary treating with montmorillonite powder and racecadotril can achieve good effect,but racecadotril can effectively improve the treatment efficiency,and shorten the time of the disappearance of the clinical signs,and has no obvious adverse reaction.So racecadotril is safe and effective,and should be applied in clinic.
