Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of racecadotril in treatment for rotavirus enteritis in children. Methods 96 patients with rotavirus enteritis were selected in hospital, who were randomly divided into two groups. 48 patients treated ribavirin as control group. 48 patients treated racecadotril as observation group. Symptoms improvement situation, clinical efficacy, adverse reactions were compared between two groups. Results Antiemetic time(2.1±0.7)d; antidiarrheal time(2.5±0.9)d; cooling time(1.8±0.6) d; hospitalization time(4.6±1.3)d in observation group were significantly less than control group(2.6±1.0)d,(3.2±1.1)d,(2.3±0.8)d,(6.7±1.5)d. Total effective rate in observation group(97.9%) was significantly higher than control group(85.4%).Incidence of adverse reactions in observation group(4.2%) was significantly lower than control group(16.7%). Differences were statistically significant(P 0.05). Conclusion Racecadotril is an effective drug in treatment for rotavirus enteritis in children, which can significantly improve clinical symptoms and shorten treatment time. That has good clinical efficacy and high safety.
