Clinical significance of the Changes of Serum Levels of IL-2,IL-6,IL-10,IL-18 and T cell subset in patients with chronic nephritis

Abstract

Objective To explore the changes in serum IL-2、IL-6、IL-10、IL-18 and T Lymphocyte subsets before and after treatment in patients with chronic nephritis. Methods The levels of serum IL-2、IL-6 and IL-10 was detected with RIA, IL-18 were detected with ELISA and T Lymphocyte subsets distribution type was detected with monoclonal antibody in 30 cases of chronic nephritis both before and after treatment and 35 controls. Results Before treatment, The levels of serum IL-2 and CD4 /CD8 ration were significantly lower than those in controls (P0.01) ,while the serum levels of IL-6、IL-10 and IL-18 were significantly higher than those in controls ( P0. 05). 6 months after treatment, serum IL-2、IL-6、IL-10、IL-18 and CD4 /CD8 levels remained significantly higher or lower (P0.05). Conclusion Detection of serum IL-2、IL-6、IL-10、IL-18 and CD4 /CD8 ration is valuable for the diagnosis and outcome prediction in patients with chronic nephritis.
