Abstract
Objective To probe the curative effect of Irbesartan together with Nifedipine on essential hypertension. Methods With random double-bind contrast trail,100 primary hypertensive patients were divided into two groups, the control group treated with Nifedipine +Captopril and the treatment group with Irbesartan + Nifedipine, and changes of their blood pressure and syndromes observed for 1 month. Results The total curative rates of the blood pressure decrease in treatment group (86.0%) and in control group (78.0%) were no difference (P0.05); The total curative rates of the nephropathy healing were significantly different between the treatment group (94.1%) and the control group (56.25%),(P0.05). Conclusions The Irbesartan combined with Nifedipine had no superior effect on the treatment of hypertension than the control group, but had significant effect on the recovery of the kidney function.
