Abstract

Objective: To assess the efficiacy and safety of nifedipine and irbesartan for treatment of type 2 diabetes with hypertension. Method: 148 patients with type 2 diabetes with hypertension were divided into two groups,The observation group of 74 cases with nifedipine and irbesartan treatment, while control group of 74 patients used nifedipine. Result: After treatment, the total effective rate of observation group was100.0%,significantly higher than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant( P 0.05),And the observation group with systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and other indicators significant improved, the difference was statistically significant( P0.05). Conclusion: Nifedipine and irbesartan for treatment of type 2 diabetic patients with hypertension has a very significant effect, while the patient's blood glucose levels would not adversely impact, and it is worthy of clinical application.
