Abstract

[Objective] To investigate the effect and mechanism of Taben Wendusu(TBWDS) on anti-aging rats.[Methods] Aging rats induced by D-galactose were treated with TBWDS for 40 days, and the contents of NO,MDA and SOD in the brain tissues were measured.[Results] When compared with model control group,TBWDS could decrease the contents of NO and MDA as well as increase the activity of SOD in the brain tissues of aging rats.[Conclusion] It is suggested that the TBWDS has an anti-aging effect, and the action mechanism showed association with its free radical scavenging activity.
