Abstract

Purpose To study the preventive effects of Anluohuaxianwan on alcohol-induced fatty liver in rats.Methods The rats were received different doses of Anluohuaxianwan for 4 weeks,rat fatty liver model was induced by continuous intragastric administration of alcohol for 6 weeks,and then the animals′ General conditions,serum Alanine aminotransferase(ALT) and Aspartate aminotransferase(AST) activity.Alkaline phosphatase(AKP) and Triglyceride(TG) levels were observed,hepatic TG,MDA and Superoxide dismutase(SOD) levels in liver homogenate and pathological changes in liver were also tested.Results Anluohuaxian can decrease the alcoholic fatty liver serum ALT,AST and AKP levels,decrease the hepatic TG content,increased hepatic SOD activity,and decrease the liver tissue MDA level.Pathological observation results show that Anluohuaxianwan can significantly improve the alcoholic fatty liver pathological liver tissue damage.Conclusion Anluohuaxianwan has significant preventive effect on alcoholic fatty liver in rats.
