Abstract

As one of the earliest Chinese legal history scholars of P.R.C, Professor Zhang Jinfan tries to develop it on the basis of the pioneers. Guided by Marxism, Professor Zhang Jinfan has made far-reaching achievements in this field--more than the pioneer scholars,making the Chinese legal history a new subject with unique features.He has not only devoted himself to re-founding Chinese legal history but also inquiring into a lot of theoretical questions, for example, the inheritance and transformation of Chinese legal cultures, the value of legal history in modern society, etc.
