Abstract
ZHANG Zhirang is usual considered as a politician rather than a legist.This research mainly concerns ZHANG’s experience in Europe and America learning law and the academic activities in China.By summarizing up his ideas on law,the importance of ZHANG Zhirang to the early development of legal science in China is introduced.
