Abstract

As one of the earliest Chinese legal history scholars of P.R.C, Professor Zhang Jinfan tries to develop it on the basis of the pioneers. He has made far-reaching achievements in this field---more than the pioneer scholars, making the Chinese legal history a new subject with unique features. He has not only devoted himsely to re-found Chinese legal history but also inquired into a lot of theoretical questions, for example, how to inherit and transform Chinese legal cultures, the value of legal history in modern society, etc.
