Research on the Effectiveness and Problems of the Reform of Rural Credit Cooperatives

As an important component of China's financial system,rural credit cooperatives have been playing a more and more prominent role in agriculture and rural economic development in our country with outstanding contributions.The new round of pilot projects for reforming rural credit cooperatives launched in 2003 has achieved initial success,but there're still serious drawbacks in aspects as agricultural support,corpo-rate governance,financial regulation and legislation,which greatly dampen hamper the development of rural credit cooperatives and construction of socialist new countryside.We must increase agriculture input,improve the corporate governance structure,strengthen supervision,improve the legal system,in order to ensure the smooth progress of reform.
