Abstract
Objective: To establish a HPLC method for quantification of emodin and chrysophanol in compound capsules for clearing stasis from gall bladder (Fufangdantong Capsules). Methods:The HPLC was run in a C18 reverse phase column (250 mm×4. 6 mm, 5μm) , an eluate of water-acetonitrile (85: 15) with a flow rate of 0. 8 mL·min-1 and a detection wavelength at 254 nm. Results: A good linearity was found over the concentration range of 0. 01-0.06 mg (emodin) and 0.02 - 0. 12 mg (chrysophanol). The correlation coefficient was 0. 999 0 (emodin) and 0. 999 2 (chrysophanol), respectively. Conclusion:This sensitive and reliable HPLC method can be used for quantification of emodin and chrysophanol in Fufangdantong Capsules.
