Efficacy and safety of chemotherapy combined with Jinshuixian Capsules in treating 91 patients with lung cancer

Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect and safety of chemotherapy combined with Jinshuixian capsule on lung cancer.Methods: Applying randomized,block experiment design,91 lung cancer patients were divided into 2 groups.They were treated with chemotherapy(NVB+PDD for 2 circles) alone(control,n=30) or combined with oral Jinshuixian capsule(4 pills once and 3 times per day,n=61).After treatment for 42 days,tumor size,clinical symptoms,quality of life,immunity and peripheral blood cells were compared between two groups,and the safety of Jinshuixian capsule was evaluated.Results: The objectively evaluated response of tumor was 29.51% in Jinshuixian group,and 16.67% in control group.In Jinshuixian group,the total therapeutic effective rate on clinical syndromes was 75.4%;the survival quality and body weight were increased by 46.67% and 48.33%,respectively;CD+4/CD+8 ratio raised by 10%,these were significantly different from those in control group(P0.05).For peripheral blood cells,the effects were also better in Jinshuixian group than in control group,but there were no statistically significant differences.No serious adverse reaction was found in both two groups.Conclusion: Chemotherapy combined with Jinshuixian capsule is feasible and safe in treating lung cancer,and can achieve better results than chemotherapy alone.It is more effective in ameliorating the clinical symptoms,improving the quality of life and strengthening immunity of the patients.
