Clinical Efficacy of Budesonide Aerosol Inhalation Combined with Montelukast in Children with Bronchial Asthma

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of aerosol inhalation of budesonide combined with montelukast sodium for children asthma.Methods Eighty children with asthma treated in our hospital from June 2008 to Jan.2010 were randomly divided into two groups: control group and treatment group,with 40 in each.Both groups were treated by aerosol inhalation of budesonide 200μg/d for three months,and montelukast sodium(2~5 years old,4mg,6~14 years old,5mg,po.once per night) was added to the treatment group for the same time.Results Compared with the control group,the clinical indexes such as symptom score,attack frequency and frequency of β2-adrenergic receptor agonist use were improved significantly,and the FEF and FEV1 were markedly improved in the treatment group(P0.05).Conclusion Budesonide combined with montelukast sodium has a significant curative effect to infantile bronchial asthma,and the two have synergistic effect.
