Abstract

Objective:To investigate the effect of low dose of levothyroxine on the subclinical hypothyroidism.Methods:34 subclinical hypothyroidism patients were treated by low dose of levothyroxine, the serum lipids and the symptoms after treatment were compared with that before treatment. Results:After treatment the levels of serum tota1 cholestero1,low density lipoprotein were significantly lower than those before treatment(P0.05)and the patients showed amelioration in symptoms. Conclusion:The low dose of levothyroxine can significantly decrease the serum lipid level of the patients with subclinical hypothyroidism and ameliorate the symptom.
