Effects of levothyroxine treatment on symptoms and serum lipids in the patients with subclinical hypothyroidism

Abstract
Thirty-six subclinical hypothyroidism patients with different pathogenic background were treated by levothyroxine. After treatment the levels of serum total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein and triglyceride were significantly lower than those before treatment (P0.05 or P0.01) and some patients with hypothyroidism showed amelioration in symptoms.
