Abstract
Objective To investigate perioperative clinical nursing method for elderly patients with cholelithiasis combined with diabetes. Methods 50 cases of elderly diabetic patients with cholelithiasis were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the observation group with 25 cases in each group. In the control group, routine nursing was given, and in observation group,in addition to the routine nursing, such comprehensive nursing intervention measures as psychological care, diet guidance and complications prevention were taken.Different nursing effects were afterwards observed. Results Patients in the observation group had lower incidence of complications and hypoglycemia compared with the control group.Besides,in the observation group, patients’blood glucose level of fasting and postprandial 2 hours were significantly lower than the control group whether it was preoperative or postoperative. Both differences were statistically significant(P 0.05).Conclusion By offering comprehensive nursing intervention measures to the elderly diabetic patients with cholelithiasis can obviously improve nursing efficiency. It can also lower incidences of hypoglycemia and other complications, meanwhile improve patients’satisfaction on the nursing.
