Abstract

Objective:The detection results of donor′s blood were retrospectively studied;investigated the features of distribution and detection methods of donors′blood transmissible disease indexes;to supply references to develope strategies in future. Methods:A summary statistics and analysis about the blood detection results was done with excel, the data was form blood information system of Taizhou center blood station during the period 2006 to 2009.Results:Among the 175054 blood samples,170423 samples were qualified with 5 tests,4631 samples were unqualified, the unqualified rate was 2.65%.Among the unqualified blood samples,3954 samples were unqualified in the first test and the rate was 2.26%,3552 samples were unqualified in the second test and the rate was 2.03%,2875 samples were unqualified in both the fist and the secnod test, the rate was 1.64%.Conclusion:Rapid test should be done before blood donation in order to blood safety, and ruduce the unnecessary waste of blood;the detection methods had false positive, the inconsistent results between the first and the second test increased false positive, how to deal with the donors′false positive results should be seriously considered by decision-making departments.
