Clinical Analysis of 80 Cases Unqualified Specimens in Blood Tests

Objective To discuss the specimens unqualified causes in blood tests and solutions.Methods Causes of 80 unqualified samples in blood test from March 2001 to March 2010 in our clinical laboratory were retrospectively analyzed and materials were summarized.Results Among the causes of 80 unqualified blood samples,hemolysis had 35 cases,accounting for 43.75%;Blood clots had 10 cases,accounting for 12.50%;Sample delays had 17 cases,accounting for 21.25%;Undeserved anticoagulation use had 9 cases,accounting for 11.25%;Drug effects had 9 cases,accounting for 11.25%.Conclusion Collecting specimens for clinical blood tests should be strictly in accordance with the operational procedures and inspection requirements,and delivery should be timely and accurate,which helping to improve the accuracy of the test results.
