Abstract

Objective To investigate the curative effect of integrated traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine on chronic gastritis associated with Helicobacter pylori(HP) infection.MethodsOne hundred and sixty-six patients with chronic gastritis and HP infection received triple therapy with enteric-coated omeprazole capsules, clarithromycin capsules and amoxicillin capsules(control group,n=83) or in combination with traditional Chinese self-decoction(observation group,n=83).HP negative rate and curative effect were observed in both groups.ResultsCompared with control group, the total effective rate and HP negative rate were significantly increased in observation group [84.34%(70/83) and 79.52%(66/83) vs 67.47%(56/83) and 54.22%(45/83),respectively,P0.05].ConclusionThe integrated traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine can promote the conversion from Hp-positive to-negative in chronic gastritis associated with Hp infection.
