Abstract

Objective: To analyze the cause of posterior capsule rupture in phacoemulsification and investigate the treatment. Methods: Phacoemulsification with intraocular lens implantation was performed on 752 patients (752 eyes) and posterior capsule rupture was observed. Results: Posterior capsule rupture occurred in 30 eyes during operation. The vision acuity was better than 0.6 in 19 eyes 3 months postoperatively. We did not observed severe complications. Conclusions: Treating the posterior capsule rupture correctly and on time can improve the effects of operation.
